My way to becoming a professional voice artist
"Hello Mr. Saemann, we look forward to welcoming you to our team for 6 months from August 6, 2012!" Yes, it worked out with my dream internship position in national marketing at a major airline in Germany. I finally got there, which I had dreamed of for 5 years while studying marketing. I loved the uncomplicated and easy cooperation with the agencies and freelancers. That was exactly my world. But there was a problem. I lacked time to do what I've loved all my life: speaking.
Parallel to the 40-hour marketing job + 400 minutes of travel time, I already recorded texts for 200 customers as a voice artist. For 3 months I tried to do justice to both sides, I worked like a hot engine. I couldn't inspire the marketing team or my voice over customers 100%! Shortly before the end of the master's degree, I noticed that the idea of a 40-hour job + being a professional voice artist had failed. I had to make a decision: marketing manager or professional voice artist?
So I asked myself: what is my greatest passion, what drives me? And there it was - the constant that has run through my life continuously since I was 15: the microphone. It started on June 27, 2002 with my self-designed “Crazy Joke Show”, which I had always recorded on a Saturday. Then as a presenter on real radio. And after intensive individual voice training since 2007 as a voice artist. Yes, I love to speak. Speaking is my greatest passion. But why did I study marketing for 5 years?
The analysis in my master thesis about the voice over market provided the answer: professional voice artist for brand messages. No radio plays, no dubbing roles. Other voice artists can do that better than me. I specialize in what I love and where I am best: bringing texts to life for companies. This is exactly where I deepened my expertise as a voice artist, attended many voice training courses, workshops and seminars, took individual voice training, went through mentoring programs and was finally accepted into the Association of German Voice Artists - the voice of the professionals. The result: recordings that fascinate the listener and strengthen brands. But there was one more thing I had to do.
I was super happy that I was now able to work as a voice artist with the people I learned to love during my internship: agencies and freelancers. I have great respect for their work, keeping an eye on all deadlines and coordinating the many service providers. Therefore, they can not deal with page-long price lists and complicated license models of the voice artists. So I developed my own modular pricing model with flexible licenses for today's digital world. Together with my on-time delivery, I give all those who book me more time for the essential things in life.

For me, health is the most important thing in life. As a voice artist, I pay particular attention to my “voice health”. After longer recordings in the vocal booth, I take conscious breaks to recharge my (voice) energy. So the next recording sounds fresh and lively again.
Even if I find today's digital world with all the modern technologies very exciting and interesting, I find interpersonal contact particularly valuable. For me, humanity means trusting each other and speaking openly about things.
Just do it - I love simplicity. That is exactly why I do not want you to have to dig through page-long speaker price lists and have put my modular price model on one A4 page.
